Description

During this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to practical strategies for writing effective course outcomes that focus on student learning. Course outcomes are an important aspect of course design as they inform the instructor and students on the direction and expectations of the course. This workshop will provide participants time to work on and receive feedback on your own course outcomes.

If you already have course outcomes or a course outline please bring them to the workshop.

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:
1. Use Bloom's Taxonomy to describe what students should achieve for each outcome
2. Apply a systematic formula for writing and evaluating course outcomes
